Toy Story

Re-released in theaters for the film’s 30th Anniversary, Toy Story was never the quintessential film for me that is is for some. While I certainly understand its importance to the company, and thoroughly enjoy the film, the animation is still rough in a couple places (most notably in the human characters) and it lacks the emotional impact to me that both Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 deliver. That said, it’s still a damn fine movie taking us into a world of what happens to a child’s toys once they leave the room.

As teased at the end of last season, Season Five of Only Murders in the Building begins with Oliver (Martin Short), Charles (Steve Martin), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) investigating the death of Lester (Teddy Coluca) which everyone appears to believe was accidental. The trios’ latest case will take them to Staten Island for an unusual meeting with Sofia Caccimelio (Téa Leoni) and her sons in the most unexpected of locations. Leaving that meeting believing there may be a connection between Lester’s untimely end and the disappearance of Sofia’s husband Nicky (Bobby Cannavale who will make his own memorable entrance before the end of the show), a clue will lead Charles and Mabel uncovering a new part of the Arconia in what appears to be a hidden speakeasy.
