Hellboy in Love: The Art of Fire #1

Picking up the thread from the first Hellboy in Love mini-series, this new two-part adventures offers another pairing with Anastasia Bransfield. Set in the Fall of 1979, Hellboy and Anastasia head to Iceland to the mystery that first sent the archeologist down the rabbit hole of the supernatural. While the pair seem happy together we do see that their relationship is putting a strain on other aspects of their lives with the university commenting on Anastasia’s choice of spending her time and the Hellboy going silent towards his friends and family at the B.P.R.D.

Phineas and Ferb – Biblio-Blast!

While the kids build the world’s most chaotic bookshelf, something Lawrence (Richard O’Brien) views and approves of, Doofenshmirtz (Dan Povenmire) sets loose an army of plants created in his own image the not even he can control. Both parts are equally wacky, and do intersect to help pare down the outrageous bookshelf before it is seen by Phineas (Vincent Martella) and Ferb‘s (David Errigo Jr.) other parent, although neither is a standout (even if the titles of some of Lawrence’s books are humorous).

Butterfly – Pilot

Based on the graphic novel of the same name, our story opens with a spy (Daniel Dae Kim) hunting an assassin (Reina Hardesty) in South Korea on the night she kills an American ambassador. The twist? These characters are revealed to be a father and daughter who haven’t seen each other in nine years when Rebecca believed her father was killed. Adding more intrigue to the proceedings is Piper Perabo as Rebecca’s boss Juno, in charge of the private covert organization which David helped found. Revealing its secrets slowly, the first half of the “Pilot” follows David attempt to arrange a meeting following Rebecca’s successful hit and, when that fails, the remainder of the episode involves him setting up a new meeting that unfortunately puts his anonymity at stake.
