To do so however, she’ll need Harley’s help in financing the plan. And Harley knows just where to get the money (which will bring in another major character from Batman: The Animated Series – albeit in her far-less interesting redesigned look).

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eleven #10 comic reviewOn the run and seeking proof about what the United States Government is really up to concerning internment of magical creatures, Buffy and the Scoobies break into a secret facility where they discover all manner of odd experiments created from a mix of science and magic including a cyborg octopus. Realizing government scientists are draining magic and imbuing their own creations with them, the Scoobies seek out more answers… by kidnapping the Vice President of the United States.

While this issue doesn’t reveal the person behind the strange government experiments it does feature plenty of action and put a ticking clock on our heroes to fight the good fight. With satellites ready to go into orbit to drain the magical powers of everyone within the borders of the United States (as a start), it’s time for action.

Our Throwback Thursday post takes us back into the Cold War spycraft of Danger Man. The murder of a prominent politician, rumored to have been killed by American agents, sends John Drake (Patrick McGoohan) to São Paulo where the only witness to the crime is the victim’s blind sister Josetta (Julia Arnall). After identifying the killer by his voice, the local authorities need more to move on the Army lietantnat (Kenneth Haigh) who, with the help of a leggy blonde (Claire Gordon), quickly frames the American agent for attempted murder to throw suspicion off himself.

Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #1 comic reviewObviously taking place before the events of Red Hood and the Outlaws #13, Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #1 offers a standalone story guest-starring Nightwing. Since the Rebirth reboot DC hasn’t spent much time on the relationship between Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. There’s obviously some bad blood and animosity lurking under the surface, but it looks like the two former Robins have been able to put most of that behind them.

While working undercover at a Russian circus, Jason calls in Nightwing for back-up. It turns out to be one of the Red Hood’s smarter decisions as the quartet of heroes take on KGBeast who has been hired by the Russians to take revenge on the Outlaws.
