Where do you go after finding, and loosing, the Lost City of Gold? The first episode of Hooten & the Lady introduces us to British Museum curator Lady Alex Lindo-Parker (Ophelia Lovibond) whose run in with a treasure hunter named Hooten (Michael Landes) while searching for the lost camp of Victorian explorer Percy Fawcett will lead the mismatched pair on an adventure culminating in the discovery of the Lost City of Gold, having their lives threatened, and loosing the biggest archeological (and monetary) find of their lifetimes.

It’s official, Doctor Who has named the actor to replace Peter Capaldi as the next incarnation of The Doctor, and that actor is Jodie Whittaker. In a move that’s likely to split Who fans, the show has chosen the character to become female for the first time in the show’s 54-year run. Hopefully the show’s writers have thought of a good reason for the change (especially since The Doctor seemed to imply something was uncommon about The Master‘s recent gender-swap into Missy).

The life of Jessica Jones isn’t getting any less complicated. After being released from prison, finally putting her family back together, run-ins with S.H.I.E.L.D., Hydra, or whoever is actually calling the shots now, and cases which have ended badly for everyone, Jessica sits in her office and stews waiting for her client to show up. She doesn’t have to wait long, although the arrival of Maria Hill doesn’t help the super-powered private eye make sense of the shit-show she’s somehow landed herself in.
Convinced that Hill is lying at the start of the issue and convinced only that she doesn’t know what the hell is going on (not unlike Marvel’s current event), Jessica also has to deal with answering questions from S.H.I.E.L.D. and an unexpected bombing by the Hobgoblin. Yeah, she can’t even have her life threatened by the good Goblin.

The third episode of Kill la Kill raises the stakes and sets the stage for the episodes to follow as Satsuki Kiryūin (Ryôka Yuzuki) dons her own Kamui (named Junketsu, giving the episode its title) which will force Ryūko Matoi (Ami Koshimizu) to make a deeper connection to Senketsu in order to unlock her Kamui’s full potential. The fight between the pair dazzles the audience but ends in a stalemate and a challenge. If Ryūko wants a rematch, and answers to her questions, she will have to go through Satsuki’s underlings in the Honnōji Academy and earn that chance (thus setting up the countess battles to come).
