Narrowing down the list of people who attempted to abduct Lizzie (Megan Boone) to a single name, Reddington (James Spader) targets the business of one-time friend Susan Hargrave (Famke Janssen) in an attempt to bring her out of hiding. It takes more than one prick before security company’s head agrees to a meeting (one that, of course, was meant to be a trap for Red), but eventually Reddington gets his sit-down with the woman whose agents and their actions lead to the death of Elizabeth Keen.

The most ambitious Marvel Studios’ movie to date, Captain America: Civil War attempts to merge aspects of Marvel’s two best movies (The Avengers and Captain America: Winter Soldier) into a cohesive whole while telling a very streamlined version of the comic event of the same name. You know what? It’s pretty damn good. It may not be the best of the Marvel movies, but it’s certainly more successful than Avengers: Age of Ultron and halts the backslide we’ve been witnessing in the quality of the Marvel films since Winter Soldier.
Beginning with tragedy in Africa, the Avengers are called to task by the governments of the world who believe a group of powerful super-heroes must be made to answer to someone other than themselves. While Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and War Machine (Don Cheadle) are in favor of putting the group under the oversight of the United Nations, Captain America (Chris Evans) opposes any such move. As the Avengers choose sides things take an even more dramatic turn with the return of the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) only further dividing the group with his latest actions.

While the Han and Luke‘s story is held to a minimum as nothing more than a comic interlude, the majority of Star Wars #18 focuses on Leia and Stana Starros getting stuck in the middle of the hijacking of Sunspot Prison while attempting to get some useful answers from Aphra. With all hell breaking loose, including dozens of killer robots shooting up the place and a masked man with ties to Leia’s past calmly executing prisoners, the three women must put aside their individual differences and find a way to work together if they have any hope of survival.

If you can’t control humans then turn them all into super-heroes you can control. “Failed Experiments” not only reveals the origins of Hive (Brett Dalton) as a Kree experiment but also the creature’s current plans to continue that experiment and transform all humans into Inhumans who he has the power to control. As evil plans go, giving everyone super-powers doesn’t rank all that high. Of course the fact that the experiment doesn’t work and is killing all his test subjects is a hurdle. The episode also teases the idea that part of Daisy (Chloe Bennet) is fighting Hive’s control, although we don’t see much evidence of that when she’s beating Mack (Henry Simmons) half to death to protect the plans of her new best pal.
