“Wingman” is comprised of two separate stories. The episode gets its name from the investigation into the theft of Lucifer‘s (Tom Ellis) wings, but a large portion of the episode is devoted to Detective Decker‘s (Lauren German) ongoing investigation into a dirty cop at death’s door. With the help of both Decker and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside), Lucifer eventually tracks down his wings to the owner of a shady black market who sells religious artifacts at private auctions. Meanwhile, working on something Lucifer said, Decker works alongside Dan (Kevin Alejandro) to make her first big break in the case that has made her a pariah within her own department.

The second has Scooby-Doo and the gang step-in to help Aquaman defeat Black Manta who has kidnapped the prince of Atlantis. And the final storyline involves stopping Ocean Master from seizing the throne by taking advantage of the chaos.

Batman: Bad Blood is the third straight-to-DVD movie in the series that began with 2014’s Son of Batman. Following the events of Batman vs. Robin, the third movie continues to adapt previous comic storylines (this time both Dick Grayson‘s temporary stint as Batman and the events of “Leviathan“) while growing Batman’s supporting cast. Written by J.M. DeMatteis, Bad Blood begins with Batman‘s (Jason O’Mara) disappearance from Gotham while saving new vigilante Batwoman (Yvonne Strahovski) from an attack by the League of Assassins led by the Heretic (Travis Willingham).
Realizing Gotham needs a Batman, Nighwing (Sean Maher) takes on the mantle of the Bat while working along with Batwoman and Damian (Stuart Allan) to keep Gotham safe while investigating Batman’s whereabouts. Like most of Grant Morrison’s later work, “Leviathan” is messy, over-complicated, and flawed. DeMatteis takes the best aspects of the story, boiling it down, and merges it with Dick and Damian’s entertaining time as the Dynamic Duo.

We now have our first trailer for the all-female reboot of Ghostbusters starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. If this is any indication of the final product it looks like we’re in store for plenty of special effects and gross out comedy but also a remake that looks like it may be lacking the spirit of the original. The new Ghostbusters opens in theaters on July 15th.
