Putting his career on the line, while attempting to hide what he’s doing from the team, Watson performs an unapproved medical procedure which saves his patient’s life leaving the team, and his ex-wife, to face the ramifications.

Loosely based on the three-issue comic of the same name, Hellboy: The Crooked Man was a critical and box office flop attempting to steer into more horror aspects of the Hellboy comics without the humor or charm of the Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman films. The choice allows for the film to go with a lower budget and more of a indie horror movie feel, but ultimately comes off more confused than creepy and more cheap than cost-effective.

Usagi Yojimbo: Ten Thousand Plums #1

Starting a new five-issue story, having been joined by Gen, Miyamoto Usagi and Yukichi come across a huge field of the Shogun’s prized plum trees where they fined a burnt-out section of trees and come across some of the Shogun’s guards who allude to mysterious happenings in the area and are immediately suspicious of the three travelers. The tension between the men and Usagi, whose name they recognize, is notable, although circumstances soon distract them from the trio.
