It’s rare to find a movie that is seemingly as self-aware of being awful as Sony’s Madame Web. I can’t confirm that cast and crew deliberately set out to make a bad B-movie but that’s really the only way that this film’s existence makes any sense. Its mind-blowing faults in every aspect of filmmaking presents an unapologetic dumpster fire to keep you guessing what bad decision, in front or behind the camera, will be made next.

Zorro - Mask Games / The Myth

In “Mask Games,” Diego’s (Miguel Bernardeau) actions force the Governor (Rodolfo Sancho) to put up the Ramirez land for auction. With the help of the an unlikely ally, and Mei (Chacha Huang) as their go between, Diego is able to keep the Russians from the bidding on the land although he himself is also kept away with his introduction to the secret cult of the Bear Clan, leaving Bernardo (Paco Tous) to place the last minute winning bid. So far, the fumbled development of the secret society has been one of the show’s only mistakes.

Batman #142

For what is supposedly the start of a new arc, I found Batman #142 messy and confusing. Falling back onto DC’s most overused theme, the comic offers us “Year One” of the Joker. Beginning after his swan dive into the chemical vat, the comic picks up with three members of the Red Hood Gang (rather than just one) being exposed to the chemicals. While “Red Hood One” begins his story after being transformed, the other two are similarly changed.
