Jackie Brown

Taking advantage of Pam Grier‘s history blaxploitation films, Quentin Tarantino cast her in the title role of his 1997 adaptation of Elmore Leonard‘s novel Rum Punch. More than a quarter of a century later it remains the only non-original film Tarantino has created (which is interesting as some, although not me, argue it just may be his best work). Found - Pilot

NBC’s Found falls into the genre of increasingly bizarre police consultant shows. Prodigal Son offered us an unstable profiler making some questionable calls by often making use of his serial killer father. Found goes even further down the rabbit hole with Gabi Mosley (Shanola Hampton) secretly keeping her childhood kidnapper (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) chained up her basement using his experience to help with her team who operate with, but outside of, law enforcement in their search for missing children. Usagi Yojimbo: Ice and Snow #1

Usagi Yojimbo returns to Dark Horse Comics for the first issue of this five-issue arc set in the northern mountains. We get two stories here coming out of Usagi’s last arc in IDW. First, we see Miyamoto Usagi and Yukichi working their way through the mountains after their latest adventure. They will be attacked by local bandits hoping to relieve the travelers of food and gold. After the brief skirmish Usagi is drawn to a cabin in the woods where a shy host offers them shelter, although it appears she may have more than their best interests at heart.
