The Question: All Along the Watchtower #5

With the entire Watchtower under Cyborg-Superman‘s control, Renee races against the clock to prevent the station’s destruction. After a bit of a recap for those who may have not read the previous four issues (I guess?), we get a bit of the Question fighting through the (still conscious) mind-controlled heroes, some of whom are momentarily able to fight Cyborg-Superman’s control to offer some help. Meanwhile, our out-of-control villain even turns on his allies to complete his plans to kill everyone on the station.

“This Kid’s Gonna Be Alight” is most notable for the show’s epilogue. In investigating a murder of a rapper, Will (Ramón Rodríguez) and Faith (Iantha Richardson) begin investigating the studio which is a front for Rafael Wexford (Antwayn Hopper) to launder money and happens to be the same studio where Faith’s son Jeremy (Deion Smith) is working. Attempting to prove himself to Rafael, and keep his job after the GBI insinuate themselves into his business once more, Jeremy makes the biggest mistake of his life which provides Will only a single option to save the young man’s future (and also, coincidentally, push forward Will’s investigation into Rafael and his current activities).

Doctor Odyssey – Shark Attack! Part 2: Orca!

  • Title: Doctor Odyssey – Shark Attack! Part 2: Orca!
  • IMDb: link

The second-half of the mid-season premiere deals with the swarm of Orca around the Odyssey, the techs working on restoring the ship’s power, and our medics striving to keep their patients alive on dwindling medical resources and attempting a life-saving surgery in the dark. Amongst the chaos, events seem to push Avery (Phillipa Soo) and Tristan (Sean Teale) together, although Avery’s decisions about her pregnancy remain undecided. As for Brooke (Adrianne Palicki) and Billy (Kurt Yaeger), the show teases the possibility of their return to the show at some point in the future with Captain Massey (Don Johnson) impressed with the young man’s quick thinking under pressure and the chemistry between Max (Joshua Jackson) and Brooke acknowledged but still not yet acted upon.
