Person of Interest - B.S.O.D.

After an entire year off the air, Person of Interest finally returns for its final season. Picking up events on the same night immediately following the events of the Fourth Season’s finale, “B.S.O.D.” gives us Reese (Jim Caviezel), Finch (Michael Emerson), and Root (Amy Acker) all on the run from a city now completely controlled by Samaritan operatives. Although the spend little time together on-screen in the season premiere, it will take the efforts of all three members of the team to save what is left of The Machine and offer it a chance at rebirth.

Star Wars Rebels - Twilight of the Apprentice

Star Wars Rebels follows up one of its weakest episodes with one of its strongest. The series closes out its Second Season with an hour-long episode featuring familiar faces and a reunion we’ve waited for all year long. The episode begins with Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Ezra (Taylor Gray), and Ahsoka (Ashley Eckstein) travelling to the forbidden planet of Malachor in search of answers about the Sith. Temporarily separated from his friends as they hunt a new Inquisitor (Robbie Daymond), Ezra makes a new acquaintance in a former Sith Lord with plenty of anger towards his old masters.

The Flash – Flash Back

You know what they say about those who ignore the past? Unable to break the code and enhance his speed any further, Barry (Grant Gustin) decides the only man who can help him with his problem is his greatest enemy. Despite the consequences from the last time he time traveled, and against the concerns of his friends, Barry chooses to travel back in time to the events of “The Sound and the Fury” in hopes of tricking Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) into helping him. Despite warnings not to make changes to the timeline, Barry can’t help but make a few tweaks (the effects of which we begin to see as soon as he returns to the present).

Supergirl - Worlds Finest

When Barry (Grant Gustin) met Kara (Melissa Benoist). Ever since CBS brought Supergirl to the air this is the crossover fans had been clamoring for. From the the bleakness of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, “Worlds Finest” (pulling on the classic name of super-hero team-ups) is a lighthearted romp of an episode fueled by two of DC’s most likable heroes. While attempting to increase his speed to battle Zoom, the Flash accidentally breaks through a dimensional barrier to arrive on the alternate Earth where Supergirl takes place. Less freaked out by the occurrence than curious about each other, Barry and Kara bond almost immediately (which is good for the Girl of Steel given she’s got two villains to fight in this episode).

Supergirl - Falling

Supergirl continues to build on the show’s mythology in “Falling.” Last week introduced Kara (Melissa Benoist) to the Fortress of Solitude. This week’s episode introduces Supergirl and her friends to the effects of Red Kryptonite. Choosing to have Red Kryptonite be an invention of Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli) is a smart one that explains why Superman’s black friend James “Don’t Call Me Jimmy” Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) doesn’t recognized the effects of the Kryptonite that isn’t lethal to Kryptonians but instead adversely affects their personality (because he’s never seen the effects on the Man of Steel).
