Life continues for our odd trio on the island of Thule. While Erik earnestly takes to learning magic, Gray becomes the island’s new night watch, and Agent Tsukumari continues to learn and document events on the island and its peculiarities, casting letters to his superiors to the ocean in bottles wondering if anyone will ever find them.

Despite the rather huge twist at the end of the series premiere, “Back From the Dead” turns out to be a rather standard episode of Watson with the clinic working on an unusual case that might involve plague buried since before the Ice Age. The difference here is the story is told through flashbacks, by Watson (Morris Chestnut) to Sherlock Holmes (Robert Carlyle).
The return of Holmes isn’t quite what I was hoping for, as it doesn’t appear the character will be incorporated into the show week to week, but at least it’s not what I was dreading as we confirm Holmes did indeed return (and it isn’t a dream or hallucination of his best friend either tied to the issues from the First Season or as a result from the latest case). Holmes is alive and well in the Watson universe, but likely only available for sweeps.

After a tip from the Mayor (Keegan-Michael Key), our intrepid podcasters head to the wilderness of Connecticut and a secret rendezvous among the trio of billionaire suspects they still aren’t allowed to podcast about. While not in any real danger, the settings (including the billionaires all playing classic board games in an empty mansion) certainly raises the creep factor.

Released to critical and box office acclaim, although not without controversy for its depiction of Arab characters and culture, it’s easy to forget the success Disney’s Aladdin had given it would be soon eclipsed by The Lion King just two years later. While not the title character, it’s impossible not to begin with Robin Williams as the voice of the Genie. Despite the negative experience with working with Disney, Robin’s stream-of-consciousness comic style translated terrifically to an animated character (even if I could do without some of the more obvious Disney pop-culture references).

Biopics usually attempt to cover either the generation of an artist, an attempt at capturing their greatest hits, or a pivotal moment in their career. At the time Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere begins, Bruce Springsteen (Jeremy Allen White) is already riding high fresh off a tour and his first #1 single. Returning home, while from time to time giving us glimpses of his childhood, the film focuses on Springsteen working on the songs which would make up his next two albums while dealing with ghosts from his past and beginning a burgeoning romance he’s not ready for.
