Easily comparable to Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, both in its subject manner and its origins and staging from a stag play, The Invite is nothing more or less than an evening two couples spend together leading to arguments, arousal, suffering, and, ultimately, something nearing understanding. Although at times uncomfortable, it’s an evening you don’t want to miss.

Returning to the comic’s original timeline, Vince awakes to his new life as a vampire… and (as we learn in the final panel) something else as well. Reintroducing the “current” timeline for us mostly through the young vamp’s eyes, we get Vince learning the hard way how hard it is to control his bloodlust (even from a friend) but also see how willing he is to stand by Gray when the pair are attacked by the vampire hunter Eda. Vince may be a vampire, but it appears that his love for Gray hasn’t waned.
