Spinning out of the events of Hawkeye, Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) gets her own five-episode series with Echo. The opening episode “Chafa” feels a bit oddly cobbled together. Following an elaborate opening sequence taking place outside of time and space alluding to the origins of the Choctaw, we’re given an episode focused on the childhood of young Maya (Darnell Besaw) growing up, racing through some individual scenes going into the family business, with the events of Hawkeye oddly jammed in, before picking up the thread of what happened to the character after the events of Hawkeye.

Archer - Into the Cold

Archer wraps up its 14 season run with a three-part series finale promoted as a special bringing back a few familiar faces in a final adventure featuring Katya (Ona Grauer), Slater (Christian Slater), Rip (Patrick Warburton), and Barry (Dave Willis) back in non-refrigerator form, while the world votes to end all private spy agencies. There’s quite a bit to enjoy here including the tease of a different kind of adventures should the show’s creators want to pick up the thread in a few years.

Reacher - Burial

As you might expect with at title like “Burial,” the fifth episode of Reacher‘s Second Season gives us the reunited 110th Special Investigators Unit attending Franz’s (Luke Bilyk) funeral which turns into a shoot-out. A few more pieces of the puzzles fall into place as well. In Denver, Neagley (Maria Sten) and Dixon (Serinda Swann) go to the New Age plant in search of the weapons they know their friend’s killer is after. Only to discover the tech has already left, at witness all 650 missiles aboard the track being hijacked.

Leo starts with the same premise of one of my favorite films from one of my favorite years of movies. Joseph Vijay stars as a shop owner who defends his cafe against armed intruders. News of the event, however, brings out even more trouble. First we get the wave of violence from the dead robbers’ friends and family which only draws more attention to the reclusive Parthiban. This brings the attention of a criminal empire who believes this local hero to be a mass murderer known as Leo.

The third and fourth episodes of Reacher‘s Second Season lead the remaining reunited 110th Special Investigators Unit tracing back their clues to New Age where Swan (Shannon Kook) worked prior to his disappearance. The thread of Reacher (Alan Ritchson) beating up a cop gets picked up as he finds himself held by Detective Russo (Domenick Lombardozzi) for a few hours before eventually agreeing to work with Reacher as long as he and his comrades don’t do anything crazy… like, for example, break into New Age and steal the documents and computer servers they can get their hands on.
