After an entire season of teasing his presence, the Joker (Matthew Needham) makes a very public debut killing Hattie Tetch (Laraine Newman) and her entire crew during a live broadcast of her TV-show before announcing he would kill Mayor Jessop before dawn. Batman (Hamish Linklater) arrives at the broadcast in time to take down the henchmen, and glimpse his new nemesis, but the Joker manages to escape.
