The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #10

Mystery, Inc. is on hand for the launch of Silver St. Cloud, a ship with proprietary technology from WayneTech allowing it to scan the ocean floor “with incredible precision.” Bruce Wayne has spared no expense in making the cruise fun for the guests with mystery-themed rooms in each of the ship’s cabins. Knight Terrors #1

In a series of one-shots we’ve seen the heroes of the DC Universe being attacked by their own nightmares. The Brave and the Bold #166

Released on or around this date 46 years ago, Throwback Tuesday takes us back to The Brave and the Bold #166 which offered fans a team-up between Batman and Black Canary. And he’s pretty successful as the villain kills several people before he’s apprehended.

The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #9

Taking place in Crystal Cove rather than Gotham City, Batman, Batgirl, and Commissioner Gordon are all on hand to see Mystery, Inc. be awarded the key to the city (and another gift which is saved for the last panel). However, when a group of hypnotized townspeople, all dressed as clowns, disrupt the scene, the celebration turns with Mystery, Inc. eventually being arrested, Batman chasing the wrong villain, and leaving Batgirl and Scooby-Doo to save the day and prevent the gang from being sentenced to prison (albeit by a villain with no real legal powers).

Batman, Supergirl & The Flash

  • Title: The Flash
  • IMDb: link

Racing out of the ashes of the Snyderverse (which thankfully is in its final death throes) comes 2023’s The Flash with problematic Ezra Miller reprising his role as lab tech turned super-hero Barry Allen. Despite its multiverse themes, The Flash isn’t in the league of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. That said, being partly fueled by nostalgia of seeing Michael Keaton back as Batman, The Flash is still better than expected and a perfectly fine summer popcorn flick.
