Bob’s Burgers – The Place Beyond the Pinecones

“The Place Beyond the Pinecones” gives us a Tina (Dan Mintz) episode as she goes on an overnight wilderness retreat with her Thundergirls troop. Chosen to spy on a rival troop notorious for cheating at the yearly competition, Tina gets lost in the woods with Patty (Betsy Sodaro) and Rena (Sarah Baker) with the trio eventually making it out of the woods for a bizarre night at Donna Dane’s Etiquette Camp for Good Girls where the trio do not fit in. It’s a crazy night for Tina, including getting tied to a posture chair and setting a pinecone on fire, but a relatively uneventful one for the rest of the Belchers who spend it screwing with Tina’s stuff before she gets back.

Bob’s Burgers – Snackface

While Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) and Linda (John Roberts) deal with a computer issue which provides some enjoyment bringing back the kind of strip mall one-man computer repair shop that you don’t see much of anymore, the bulk of “Snackface” follows Louise (Kristen Schaal), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Tina (Dan Mintz) creating the new ultimate snack they sell at school. It’s a fun take on the crazy things kids will eat (and also attempt to get away with under the noses of adults) with a twist involving the obsessed Millie (Molly Shannon) joining the team, although not for the reasons the Belchers expect.

Bob’s Burgers – Like a Candle in the Gym

Linda‘s (John Roberts) insistence of a family walk does go exactly as planned in “Like a Candle in the Gym” when Louise (Kristen Schaal), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Tina (Dan Mintz) get distracted by Fifth Grade Megan (Abbi Jacobson) whose latest obsession with a teacher was caused by an off-hand joke Louise made at school. The trio spend most of the episode attempting to convince Megan that Coach Blevins (Larry Murphy) isn’t collecting sweat for nefarious purposes and then not to upload her “proof” to the Internet. Meanwhile, Linda’s new walking shoes (the true cause of the family walk) destroy her feet to the point Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) eventually begins to wheel her around in a shopping cart.

Bob’s Burgers – Mr. Fischoeder’s Opus

Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) doing a favor for Mr. Fischoeder (Kevin Kline) hasn’t always worked out well for the Belchers, but seeing how he’s willing to waive two months rent, Bob jumps at the chance to cater an event for the local orchestra which Fischoeder will be conducting (although he needs the night to go smoothly to attempt to talk them into performing a traditional peace at a faster tempo). I’m not sure why Bob and Linda (John Roberts) thought it was a good idea to bring Louise (Kristen Schaal), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Tina (Dan Mintz) along with them to the event in Fischoeder’s home, but it does give them a B-story in which their host uses them to keep Felix (Zach Galifianakis) busy and away from the party.

Bob’s Burgers – Advice Things Are Ad-Nice

After Tina (Dan Mintz) is chosen to be the school paper’s secret new advice columnist who no one at school is writing to, Louise (Kristen Schaal) and Linda (John Roberts) attempt to help by submitting their own letters of teen angst plagiarized from Tina’s diary. That this would eventually go spectacularly wrong is a given as the sordid truth comes out publicly after Tammy (Jenny Slate) assumes the identity of the school’s new celebrity just to earn a spot in the town parade.
