The Big Bang Theory - The Dependence Transcendence

“The Dependence Transcendence” juggles three separate amusing, although mostly forgettable, storylines. Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Howard (Simon Helberg) struggle to make their deadline to the Air Force while dealing with Sheldon‘s (Jim Parsons) overreaction to his first energy drink. In truth, however, his fear of an instant caffeine addiction is hiding his true doubts about being able to figure out the complex math required. Meanwhile Penny (Kaley Cuoco) tags along with Amy (Mayim Bialik) to Bert’s party where she discovers her friend is more popular at work than either of them ever suspected, and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) spends some time with Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) whose insecurity about not being more excited about her pregnancy begins to cause friction between the pair.

The Big Bang Theory - The Military Miniaturization

“The Military Miniaturization” is a fine, if forgettable, episode. In the main story Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), and Howard (Simon Helberg) fret over the ethical implications surrounding the Air Force’s offer to fund their research. The back-up story features a pissed-off Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) learning that Penny (Kaley Cuoco) accidentally spilled the beans about her pregnancy to her coworkers (possibly costing her lead on a big project). The episode’s only real stand-out moment comes when Sheldon reacts silently to the Air Forces pitch (although the scene would have been more memorable had the scientist been able to keep his silence throughout the entire sequence).

Fools Rush In / The Wedding Planner / Made of HonorThis Romantic Comedy Triple Feature collects three relatively recent romantic comedies in one set which is perfect if you need to torture your boyfriend but not much good for anything else.

Made of Honor is a pretty bland reversal of My Best Friend’s Wedding with Patrick Dempsey discovering he has romantic feelings for his best friend (Michelle Monaghan) after she asks him to be the maid of honor at her wedding. Read the full review.

The Wedding Planner isn’t that much better starring Jennifer Lopez as a wedding planner who falls for the one of her clients (Matthew McConaughey) and ruins his impeding wedding to his fiance (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras). Home-wrecking has never been so sickly sweet.
