Elementary - For All You Know

Things get personal for Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) when he becomes the prime suspect in a three-year-old murder which occurred during the hazy day of heavy heroin use make everyone except Watson (Lucy Liu) question whether or not the detective might be responsible. As Watson begins an investigation into the murder Holmes seeks out an old associate (Michael Weston) and is visited by the dead woman’s family who, based on what the police have told them, hold Sherlock responsible for the crime and take it upon themselves to offer some violent retribution.

After another couple’s session McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and Danny (Scott Caan) are forced to spend several days together on the stakeout of a woman (Jessica Lowndes) who helped rob a jewelry store. Although she attempted to kill her partner to keep the diamonds for herself, Five-0 is far more interested in the gunman from the robbery who decided to kill a former member of the local police. Using the suspect as bait the pair wait it out hoping her former partner, properly motivated after being shot, will show up for retaliation. The situation allows for several scenes of the partners’ trademark banter as well as something of a breakthrough when McGarrett lets down his guard for a moment.

There are three stories of interest in the latest episode of Hawaii Five-0 which includes the return of a recurring character and two new guest-stars. In the case of the week Five-0 works with ATF Agent Kathy Millford (Melina Kanakaredes) who has come to the island to track down a serial arsonist and murderer now setting fires in Hawaii to watch young couples burn alive. Despite lying to Five-0 about being there in an official capacity, McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and his team accept the assistance of Millford whose knowledge of the arsonist proves invaluable (and also puts her in danger when the man targets a hotel for his next arson).

Watson‘s (Lucy Liu) return to the brownstone isn’t without a few issues as Joan can’t help but notice Sherlock Holmes‘ (Jonny Lee Miller) oddly considerate behavior to make his partner feel more at home all the while protecting her against what he fears may be a rash reaction to Andrew’s murder. As the pair stumble along their reunion under a single roof the detectives are brought into the case of multiple murders all tying back to those who would have received compensation from a pending wrongful death case and whose killer (Alicia Witt) has left a sum of money they believe each victim’s life is worth.
