While continuing to develop Kitty‘s (Ophelia Lovibond) relationships to both Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu), “Just a Regular Irregular” returns Rich Sommer as often-shirtless mathematician Harlan Emple who stumbles upon a dead body while playing a complicated mathematical game. When others involved in the game start turning up dead as well, Holmes and Watson agree to work together to piece together a motive for the crimes which are being committed a dedicated killer obsessed with hunting down an anonymous math blogger who is threatening the man’s livelihood.

In the style of It’s a Wonderful Life, insomnia, fear over whether or not he’s good enough for Beckett (Stana Katic), and a concussion lead Castle (Nathan Fillion) to awake in a parallel dimension where the two have never met. To get home a disoriented Castle will have to find a mystical Inca artifact which he believes is responsible for bringing him to his new reality.

White Collar begins its final season by picking up the pieces of last season’s cliffhanger. The reveal of who took Neal (Matt Bomer) and why is a bit disappointing (honestly, the man’s plan to kidnap Neal and make him a fugitive in order to retrieve something in the FBI’s possession which he can no longer accomplish is pretty shotty thinking). However, the man’s need of a big score opens up a new door for Neal setting the stage for the show’s final season and the remaining days of Neal’s work for the FBI.

The latest episode of Elementary, while taking its name and set-up from a Sir Arthur Conan Doyle story, offers a mystery involving the death of a toy manufacturer (whose popular toy killed a handful of children) as well as the murder of the man’s attorney, offers several false leads and red herrings for both Holmes and Watson as each of the former partners takes one of the victims for themselves, later coming together when the motive proves too elusive for either to solve on their own.
