Jim Corrigan has been separated from the Spectre and locked himself away in Tartarus. DC’s untethered Spirit of Vengeance is less than happy about the new arrangement as his thirst for vengeance infects the members of the Justice League pitting them against each other by inflaming old arguments and grudges.
The out of control Spectre is really just an excuse to pit hero against hero for the issue as the heroes try to see through the vengeance poured into them, but struggle against the base nature the Spectre’s wrath is fueling. Finally gathering their wits, the team comes to realize what has happened and where they must go to fix the situation. However, the locales of Themyscira may have something to say about that.

Metropolis High School‘s dance may not be a typical teenage experience, but it turns out to be a pretty typical night for the DC Super Hero Girls when Livewire attacks, taking over the auditorium’s sound system, and forcing the kids to keep dancing.
There’s quite a bit of fun here leading up to Livewire’s appearance including Zatanna‘s obsession with creating the perfect evening, Supergirl‘s reluctance over attending, and Wonder Woman‘s forceful attempts to arrange dates for herself and her friends. Writer Amanda Deibert and Erich Owen even work in the reluctance of the shier students to hit the dance floor without little push.

A new chapter for Wonder Woman begins as her attempt to create a new life for herself in Boston leads to an arrest and probation by her friend and neighbor Agent Nora Nunes who apparently is the sole judge and jury to decide whether having an Amazon living there does potentially more harm than good.
While the framework of the story seems a bit… off (there really isn’t any arrest to speak of, regardless of what Nora says, and panel of Diana at gunpoint is more laughable than anything else), it actually works well to showcase the work Diana does to those skeptical of a god/hero living among them. Is this the start of a beautiful friendship?
