Agent X - Truth, Lies and Consequences

In the latest episode of Agent X John (Jeff Hephner) encounters one of his predecessors (Fred Dryer), lucky enough to be retired rather than killed in action, while investigating a Russian bio-weapon that has resurfaced in the hands of terrorists. While confronting the scientist (Alex Wyse) who was duped into creating and weaponizing the virus, John is infected and struggles to stay alive long enough to stop the terrorist (Madeline Zima) from killing hundreds of more victims including the President of the United States.

“Truth, Lies and Consequences” follows the basic race the clock formula following John being exposed to the virus. It’s no surprise that he’s able to foil the plot, save the geek, and get an antidote before the credits role but the story is well-enough told to be interesting if not all that dramatic. I would have liked to have seen more of Dryer and more of interaction between the former and current super-spies. Hopefully we’ll see him return sometime later in the season.
