Burn Notice

While Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) tries to figure out who wants her dead and finds a new ally (Zabryna Guevara) in prison, Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) and Jesse (Coby Bell) are approached by Agent Pearce (Lauren Stamile) who needs her help to take down a protected CIA asset who is also the man (Faran Tahir) responsible for killing her fiancé.

Willing to do whatever it takes to help get Fi out of prison, and realizing allowing Pearce to throw away her career by killing the man would hurt those chances, Michael enlists the help of Sam (Bruce Campbell), Madelyn (Sharon Gless) and Nate (Seth Peterson) for a complicated sting involving two teams, a cruise ship, poison a quarantine, and a hidden hard drive full of Top Secret files.

Michael and Pearce are able to sufficiently scare the asset, but Sam and Nate’s attempt to follow the man’s son (Dominic Rains) to the location of the hard drive is halted when he attempts to sell it to a group of Russian terrorists. Thinking on their feet, Pearce and Michael come up with one final move to secure the drive and allow the authorities to take the, now former, CIA asset into custody.

Due to the complicated nature of the sting, and Fi’s unavailability, the rest of the team all find themselves with jobs this week including Nate who proves to be a little more like his brother in pressure situations than we had seen so previously. We also get to see a different side to Pearce as Stamile does a good job with the complicated range of emotions the agent has to display over the course of the episode.
