Despite her initial reluctance Maddie (Sharon Gless) joins Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) and the group on the run. Sam (Bruce Campbell) and Jesse (Coby Bell) run into a snag while trying to procure the passport chips from a smuggler associate (Kevin McNally) of Schmidt (Patton Oswalt) who has started taking over Schmidt’s business and plans to hunt down his former competitor and kill him.

Michael, Sam, Fi (Gabrielle Anwar), and Schmidt manage to get the passports but have to hole up in an abandoned factory surrounded by the smuggler’s goons. As the team tries to stay alive Jesse and Maddie are able to get their hands on an unusual getaway vehicle. With limited options the group begins discussing letting the smuggler have Schmidt, especially after Michael learns the passport chips he sold them are traceable and even if they escape he can hand them over to the FBI.

The team manages to escape thanks to some late Michael Weston magic, but it’s clear to Schmidt that Michael was willing to do whatever it took to get the rest of his team out alive. As the show closes the team is safe and has a limited window to use their new passports to get out of the country which leads into next week’s two-hour season finale and a final showdown with Agent Riley (Sonja Sohn).
