Charlie's Angels - Hellride television review

Today’s Throwback Tuesday takes us back to the tale of three beautiful former police detectives turned private detectives working for a faceless boss known as Charlie. “Hellride” sends Sabrina (Kate Jackson) undercover as a race car driver following the death of another driver on the track. Bosley (David Doyle) and Jill (Farrah Fawcett) provide support as a traveling preacher and his beautiful daughter (who is secretly a poker shark). Kelly (Jaclyn Smith) will arrive later to help target on of the mechanics on the track who tampered with the victim’s car in the last race.

The Angels soon discover there is more going on than just the jealousy of a rival driver (Jenny O’Hara) when they uncover plans to use a cross-country race to cover-up a diamond robbery. Where the “Pilot” spend quite a bit of time focused on Kelly, “Hellride” offers more opportunities for the other two Angels to show off various skills including Sabrina stepping into the role of a professional driver and Jill constantly surprising those who take her for nothing more than another pretty face. The episode ends on the track as the Angels stop the robbers from getting away with their diamonds and get some justice for the driver killed by their actions.
