Community

When Greendale Community College plays host to a traveling carnival Britta (Gillian Jacobs) asks the help of her study group to keep her away from her former boyfriend Blade (Kirk Fox) who works the BB-shooting-duck-gallery and travels with the carnival (much to the amusement of the entire group). And Vice Dean Laybourne (John Goodman) demand the help of Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) to convince Troy to join the Air Conditioning Repair School, however his plan is thwarted by the Dean’s inability to do anything right.

While Annie (Alison Brie), Troy (Donald Glover), and Abed (Danny Pudi) try their best to keep Britta away from her ex (and watch Blade with the uninvited Dean Pelton), Jeff (Joel McHale) and Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) take a trip to the carnival to take a good look at the brain-damaged carnie named after a kickboxing vampire movie only to find the unlikely pair of Pierce (Chevy Chase) and Chang (Ken Jeong) trying to force their own best friendship.

A fun episode that plays on several ongoing themes of the show including Jeff’s obsession and jealousy, Britta falling for guys who are bad for her, Pierce’s unsuccessful search to connect with anyone (even Chang). The episode also continues to tease both the Jeff/Annie and Britta/Troy relationships which I hope we’ll get to see come to fruition before the season (and possibly the show) comes to an end.
