Death and Other Details - Hidden

“Hidden” focuses primarily on Jules (Hugo Diego Garcia) as the likely suspect after his con man’s past comes to light. Despite circumstances, Imogene (Violett Beane) digs a little deeper into what Jules is hiding which turns out not to be murderous intent but instead a family of refugees he’s smuggling across the ocean. With the help of the family down belong, Imogene helps Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin) uncover the murderer onboard the ship before taking off with the family and Sunil (Rahul Kohli) for an adventure of their own.

The discovery of the murder halfway through is an interesting twist, although the episode still leaves several balls up in the air with Imogene and Sunil off the ship (where exactly will this story go and will it lead them back to the ship or in an entirely new direction?) and Rufus’ conversation with the possibly not-so-crazy Leila (Pardis Saremi) who utters a name tying back to the real reason the detective is on the ship and a mystery that has gone unsolved for decades. The true mystery has just begun.

Memorable moments of the episode include more of Rufus instructing Imogene on detective work. Imogene skillfully staying away from the Interpol lockdown to find them some new leads, Llewellyn Mathers (Jere Burns) proclivities coming to light, Alexandra (Tamberla Perry) feeling the sting of the Collier family’s reach, Imogene blushing when Sunil learns she slept with Jules, and Anna (Lauren Patten) getting hot and heavy with her ex (Karoline) during the lockdown.
