House of Lies - Exit Strategy

While trying not to let his brother (Larenz Tate) getting Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.) involved in his latest cause get on his nerves, Marty (Don Cheadle) continues to work behind the scenes to procure the funding and clients he needs to get his new agency off the ground. Meanwhile Jeannie (Kristen Bell) is blindsided by Julianne Hotschragar’s (Bess Armstrong) offer to promote her and put her in charge of her own Pod.

After being unable to get ahold of Marty about a a lucrative new client, Doug (Josh Lawson) takes Sarah’s (Jenny Slate) advice and attempts to close them on his own (not to mention giving him a rather unique pep talk before sending him in to close the deal). Despite needing to get his quarterly paperwork done, find more clients willing to jump ship with him, and scout out potential office space, Marty takes time out for an uncomfortable lunch with Tamara (Nia Long) and Monica (Dawn Olivieri).

With Doug and Jeanie both scoring big wins Clyde’s (Ben Schwartz) insecurity goes into overdrive, but the prospect of banging a UCLA Business major (Jennifer Sun Bell) in his office does brighten up his shitty week. Marty angers his father (Glynn Turman) by offering his brother a large enough donation to his cause for Malcolm to take the money and run. As to the success or failure of Marty’s other business venture, with only two episodes remaining we shouldn’t have lot to wait.
