Lucifer - All About Her television review

While temporarily stymied as to Pierce‘s (Tom Welling) real motives for insinuating himself into his life, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) works to regain Chloe‘s (Lauren German) trust in helping with the murder of a local surfer declaring the day “Detective Day.” Lucifer may struggle with finding a way to properly butter-up his partner, and initially proves less useful to the case than Detective Douche (Kevin Alejandro) going undercover with the prime suspects, but he will get some answers from Pierce who comes clean about Lucifer’s abduction, his interest in Chloe, and what he truly desires.

Pierce’s revelations, and Lucifer’s moment of inspiration cause the Devil to entice the police officer to stick around (allowing the slow burn of Chloe’s feelings for her boss to continue to simmer). I don’t Lucifer will come close to kill him anytime soon, but I’m betting at some point he’ll wish he had. “All About Her” also includes some fun B-stories including Amenadiel‘s (D.B. Woodside) unexpected bout of chlamydia which will finally force some tough choices about his relationships and Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) sticking up for a hurt Ella (Aimee Garcia) still hurting from Pierce dressing her down earlier this season.
