As Juliette (Hayden Panettiere), who returns from her impromptu elopement with Sean (Tilky Jones),  and Rayna (Connie Britton) make final preparations for the tour, Lamar (Powers Boothe) and Tandy (Judith Hoag) threaten to expose Maddie’s (Lennon Stella) true parentage to stop Rayna from taking her girls on the road. Meanwhile, Juliette agrees to a second church wedding to appease Sean’s parents (Boo ArnoldJ.J. Rodgers) before setting out on the road and discovers Sean isn’t the only one with a mother disappointed by news of their nuptials.

To complete his move to the big time, Avery (Jonathan Jackson) returns home to fire his band after he’s signed by Dominic (Wyclef Jean) as a solo artist. After discovering what Avery has done, Scarlett (Clare Bowen) washes her hands of him again and volunteers to step in as lead singer for the band formerly known as the Avery Barkley Band for their scheduled performance that night. Meanwhile Hailey (Chloe Bennet) warns Gunnar (Sam Palladio) to repair the growing rift with Scarlett before he looses his songwriting partner to another opportunity.

While traveling with a rock ‘n roll band Deacon reconnects with an old flame (Yara Martinez) working as a freelance reporter who knows him too well not to see he’s less happy than he’s letting on about his glamorous new jet-setting rock ‘n roll lifestyle, especially after he learns about Rayna and Juliette’s tour.

Despite a few dust ups  by the end of the show things are beginning to get back to normal as Juliette’s selfishness could cost the singer her marriage, Gunnar and Scarlett get back to writing music, Deacon starts obsessing about Rayna, and Avery is still a selfish jackass. With the beginning of the tour next week we’ll see how the fallout from Juliette’s decision not to attend her own wedding effects her relationship with Sean and the tour.
