Despite some disagreements, and some interference from local police, after surviving another assassination attempt Neagley (Maria Sten) and Riley (Greyston Holt) track down the shooter Davos (Brian Hamman), although it does cost Riley another family reunion. Despite their success in getting Davos to talk, things quickly go to shit as the pair begin to get a glimpse at something rotten in the police department.
Meanwhile, Keno (Jasper Jones) gets his first taste of the crazy of Echo Canyon cult leader Lawrence Cole (Damon Herriman) as well as his top acolyte Judith (Rebecca Liddiard). In just a single day he’ll make a handful of enemies but also stumble upon the truth of the secluded barn on the edge of the Echo Canyon Farm property, find the source of rye flour, and get an up close look at someone high on the same drugs that led Tommy Crane (Jhaleil Swaby) to taking his own life.
The episode also offers both a flashback and a revelation about Matthew Del Negro‘s character further fleshing out the corporate piece of the mystery. First, we see a flashback of how his partnership with Lawrence Cole started. And second, we discover that he’s nothing more than a middle man who answers to someone much more dangerous.
