She-Ra and the Princesses of Power - Roll With It TV review

“Roll With It” is an amusing episode from the Second Season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power as a planning session to take a tower from the Horde becomes an out-of-control table-top roll-playing adventure with each character offering “help” that gets further and further away from reality. There are two running gags in the various scenes shown. First, Bow (Marcus Scribner) manages to die in every last one of them. And second, Adora discovers that her friends have very distinct (and often quite humorous) impressions of Catra (AJ Michalka).

The episode also continues the Second Season theme of Adora (Aimee Carrero) struggling with living up to the mantle of She-Ra and learning to accept the help of others. While the planning may have gotten completely out of control, it did bring the group together and several individual ideas (though vastly toned-down) do make it into the final, successful, assault. The episode is also notable for Catra leaving Scorpia (Lauren Ash) in control of the tower, to the surprise of pretty much everyone, meaning all of Adora’s fretting on how Catra would ruin their plans turns out to be for nothing.
