- Title: Super Friends – The Shamon ‘U’
- wiki: link
Super Friends Saturday takes us back to the Hall of Justice and the adventures of the world’s greatest heroes created from the cosmic legends of the universe. Reusing a favorite setup of these early Super Friends’ cartoons, “The Shamon U” gives us another mad scientist whose greed makes him overlook the unintended consquences of his experiments. The episode starts with Marvin (Frank Welker), Wendy (Sherry Alberoni), and Wonder Dog (Welker) reporting odd events at Mystery Mountain to the Super Friends which turn out to be the work of Dr. Simeon Shamon (Norman Alden)
Using lasers and giant magnets to pull golden ore from low-flying comets, Dr. Shamon is quickly becoming a rich man. However, the leftover gases from those same comets begins to randomly shrink or grown various plants and animals across the globe causing chaos for the likes of Superman (Danny Dark) and Aquaman (Norman Alden) to solve while Batman (Olan Soule), Robin (Casey Kasem), and the kids attempt to get into the scientist’s labs and shut down his experiments. Drawing the short straw for the episode, Wonder Woman (Shannon Farnon) works with another scientist (off-camera) to develop a cure for things affected by the gas (including a giant-sized Wonder Dog).
