Doty, take this down. This is the episode where Taryon Darrington (Wayne Brady) proves his worth leading Vox Machima home. While Percy (Taliesin Jaffe) and Grog (Travis Willingham) keep his father at bay in a game of chance by pulling from a Deck of Many Things (leading to one of the funniest one-off closing lines of the series), Taryon takes the group to the mines mistakenly believing his father is innocent of all the chicanery afoot. Confronting his parental issues, Taryon proves instrumental in the travelers’ victory earning him an official spot on the team. Other fun moments include Pike‘s (Ashley Johnson) fake pregnancy and a callback to the previous season with an appearance by the skull of Umbrasyl.
