While Mr. Benedict (Tony Hale) struggles with the news that his estranged twin brother is Dr. Curtain, the man in control of L.I.V.E. Institute and the Emergency, the student-spies attempt to do well in their classes to earn “Messenger” status and access to the tower. With Constance (Marta Kessler) and Kate (Emmy DeOliveira) struggling to do well, and in danger of being deported, Benedict suggests the group do whatever it takes to remain in the institute, even cheat raising some among the group to wonder if they are indeed working for the right brother.

Although they are no closer to answers by the end of the episode, our group of orphaned spies continue to soldier on. Reynie (Mystic Inscho) also runs into an unexpected familiar face in Mr. Bloom (Darren Dolynski), who doesn’t remember Reynie or his life before the island suggesting what really happened to Milligan (Ryan Hurst), who gets his own subplot here retrieving documents from Benedict’s study. We also see the return of Ms. Perumal (Gia Sandhu) who is growing increasing concerned with what may be going on with Reynie, suggesting her role in the story is far from over.
