Wander Over Yonder - The Tourist

Wander‘s (Jack McBrayer) joy over meeting another tourist who has visited as just as many worlds soon turns to jealousy when he discovers the old woman named Trudy has seen sights he and Sylvia (April Winchell) have not yet witnessed. Forcing Sylvia to leave the comfort of their relaxing vacation, Wander gets into a competition with Trudy to see catch up on as many sights as possible. Offering a mad dash across the universe, the episode squeezes in short glimpses of several worlds before Wander learns a valuable lesson.

Racing from planet to planet without actually stopping to enjoy the wonders they find, Wander eventually wears Sylvia out and is forced to continue his competition with the old woman by himself. Offering the lesson of the episode, only after witnessing the marvel of the birth of a star does Wander realize the moments of traipsing through the field of roses without stopping to smell the flowers with his best friend are empty and meaningless. The episode ends with a reveal of how Trudy manages to see so many sights at her advanced age while finally allowing Wander and Sylvia to enjoy their relaxing vacation.
