Veronica Mars herself, Kristen Bell, made her first appearance on NBC’s Heroes this week. Here’s a quick clip of her performance and an interview with Ms. Bell about her character (larger version available in the Full Diagnosis). Now the reason I’m sharing with this with you (since you know I’ve been critical of the show) is to give a RF Shout Out to Lane Brown and Dan Kois of New York Magazine’s Vulture who quip “Bell’s spiky vulnerability has been replaced by whininess and smart-assitude. When Veronica Mars gets written by the Heroes writers, she sheds subtext and depth, as if Willow unexpectedly paid a visit to the girls on Charmed.” Damn, that’s so good I wish I had said it!
