There’s quite a lot happening all at once to Jessica Jones. Some old lingering programing from the Purple Man has resurfaced threating everyone around her, variants of Jessica from around the Multiverse have begun appearing (although since Jessica is in no mood to talk with them, it’s not clear what they are after), she’s a little too happy to see Matt Murdock is still alive, and an old friend is attempting to recruit her into a new super-team.

Iron Cat #2

The team -up of of Black Cat and Iron Man begins as the unlikely duo begin to work together to stop Tamara Blake and retrieve the Iron Cat armor she stole in order to avenge their shared mentor the Black Fox. The second issue fills in gaps for readers, offering us flashbacks to Felicia and Tamara’s shared past and plenty of examples how both characters think and act leading Felicia to set the kind of trap for her old friend she knows Tamara can’t ignore.

Spidey Super Stories #19

Released 46 years ago, Throwback Tuesday takes a look back at Spidey Super Stories #19. For those who don’t remember the comic, Spidey Super Stories was geared towards younger readers that grew out of the Electric Company skits Spider-Man appeared on. As a joint venture, both Marvel Comics and the Children’s Television Workshop signed off on every issue. The stories usually featured Spider-Man teaming up with another Marvel hero and/or fighting a well-known Marvel villain (whose backstory was often featured in a single-page origin story).

Detective Comics #1062

A new creative team arrives to kick off a new arc in Detective Comics #1062 as Gotham City is invaded by weird zombie hell-ish ash monsters. We small glimpses of several members of Arzen’s family, some of whom have already arrived in Gotham and others who are on the way. While we don’t get much detail of who/what they or what they are ultimately after, it’s clear there’s something supernatural about them.
