Supergirl #1

A new volume of Supergirl begins here with an issue that does a pretty good job on hitting on several aspects of Kara and letting us know what’s going to be covered/included in the current version. Along with appearances by both Krypto and Streaky, Supergirl #1 also gives us Supergirl (very quickly) stopping threats in both Metropolis by defeating Princess Shark and in Kandor dealing with Lar-On on a rampage before returning to Midvale to discover something quite bizarre is going on.

Usagi Yojimbo: Ten Thousand Plums #3

The truth becomes known as Gen finds the body of the headman’s daughter in the wood as Miyamoto Usagi, while attempting to warn the town the killer is in their midst, discovers she’s been hiding in plain sight. Once exposed, the shapeshifter proves to be a problem for even our heroes. We get plenty of action in the issue that seems to wrap up the story (but apparently not this arc with has two more issues to come). We also get a quite humorous remark from Gen about how adventures seem to find Usagi which made me laugh out loud.

However, one of Luke’s squad instead heads to the planet to get a look at the mercenary shot down in the battle (who had previously shot down one of the X-Wings), and Luke follows.
