While it’s unclear what Diana‘s allies were doing, especially given the recent effort to show how unwilling each of them was to let her stand alone, that’s exactly what is in store for Wonder Woman as the Sovereign sends a coordinated attack against the Amazon using the various allies gathered in the last issue (GigantaCirceDoctor PsychoAngle ManGrail, and Silver Swan) in the National Mall while leaving one more surprise for last.

Green Lantern #8

Green Lantern #8 offers the arrival of the Blue Lantern Razer on Earth who warns Hal Jordan of attacks against the Power Batteries of multiple of the rainbow brigade leading him to challenge the exiled Green Lantern to try and make a difference. Unfortunately, despite a will to succeed, Hal is unable to breach the barrier that keeps him contained on Earth. The plot, which feels like a homage to classic Silver Surfer tales, but, like with the Surfer, the best adventures are always out in space isn’t anything special, although there is some good humor and the art by Amancay Nahuelpan is great to look at.

Transformers #5

In between both the Autobots and the Decepticons racing to rebuild their forces to get an upper hand in their never-ending war, we get a couple of battles and some moments of the Autobots with their new human friends. Transformers #5 offers some fun moments such as Starscream‘s glee in choosing how to widening the numbers of Deceptions, and later, when the Autobots make a run at the Ark, revealing the not-to-little surprise for him. Of course we also get the sheer terror from the character is seeing what Optimus Prime is now using for an arm.

Vengeance of the Moon Knight #2

Framed in much the same manner as the first issue, Vengeance of Moon Knight #2 gives us Tigra talking things through with Dr. Andrea Sterman while providing a bit more of the new Moon Knight’s confrontation with the inhabitants of the Midnight Mission. By the end of the issue a couple of things are clear, this Moon Knight is certainly capable of holding his own against any of them, and he is not Marc Spector.
