Throwback Tuesday takes us back to another adventure of the Archaeologists of the Impossible. After hearing news of Jack Carter‘s death (Planetary‘s stand-in for John Constantine), Elijah Snow and the Drummer accompany Jakita Wagner to the dickish rogue’s funeral. Despite the man’s many faults, Jakita still looks back on him fondly (although the pedestal she places him on will be shaken before the end of the comic).

G.I. JOE #13

G.I. JOE #13 kicks off a new arc that, despite being set in a shared universe with the Transformers, feels very much like a classic G.I. JOE story. Much like in the original G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero cartoon, Cobra Commander sends Cobra forces across the globe in search of resources for his plans (which in this case are Energon). No doubt we’ll see plenty of action with Joes showing up in the various locations as well. As the Commander, who takes the most interesting location for himself, things are about to get interesting.

Superman: Red and Blue 2025 Special

Following a similar set up to the number of black and white comics released as mini-series anthologies in recent years, the Superman: Red and Blue 2025 Special offers a list of four anthology stories featuring Superman, but instead of highlighting him in black and white (although both colors are also used) we get the hero highlighted in his traditional colors of red and blue.

While Erik earnestly takes to learning magic, Gray becomes the island’s new night watch, and Agent Tsukumari continues to learn and document events on the island and its peculiarities, casting letters to his superiors to the ocean in bottles wondering if anyone will ever find them.

Black Cat #3

As news of Black Cat‘s rendezvous with Daredevil hits the Internet leading to speculation and enhanced scrutiny, Felicia takes a job hijacking a semi-truck driven by a giraffe (yeah, a giraffe) which it turns out is part of larger smuggling operation moving hallucinogenic plants from the planet Rigel. It also leads Felicia to a run-in with Ms. Marvel who swoops in and takes the collar away from our thief struggling with playing hero.
