Jon Favreau directs this big-budget adaption of the Marvel Comics characterRobert Downey Jr. stars as industrialist Tony Stark who, after the learning the error of his ways, invents an suit of armor to repay for past mistakes.  Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Hilary Swank, Leslie Bibb, and Samuel L. This Week in Foreign Film

This Week in Independent Film

The latest from writer/director Harmony Korine (Julien Donkey-Boy), in what is the early leader for most bizarre film of 2008, stars Diego Luna as a Michael Jackson impersonator who meets a Marilyn Monroe look-alike (Samantha Morton) and is invited to join her commune in Scotland where she lives with other others including Charlie Chaplin (Denis Lavant) and Shirley Temple.  The supporting cat includes director Werner Herzog, magician David Blaine, Joseph Morgan, and Anita Pallenberg as the Queen of England.  The film opens in limited release in select cities on Friday.  Larger trailer available in the Full Diagnosis.
