The big winners at the 70th Golden Globe Awards were Argo (taking home Best Picture – Drama & Director Ben Affleck), Les Misérables (Best Picture – Musical or Comedy, Actor – Musical or Comedy Hugh Jackman, and Supporting Actress Anne Hathaway), and Homeland (Best Series – Drama, Actress – Drama Claire Danes, and Actor – Drama Damian Lewis). Other acting awards went to Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln), Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook), and Don Cheadle (House of Lies). You can find the full list of winners inside.

The list of the nominees for the 85th Academy Awards was released this morning. Lincoln leads all films with 12 nominations (including Picture, Director, Actor, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, and Adapted Screenplay). Beasts of the Southern Wild got more love than I was expecting with four nominations (including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress for Quvenzhané Wallis). The biggest snubs include Kathryn Bigelow failing to earn a nomination for Best Director, Anna Karenina falling to earn any nomination outside of the production and technical categories, and The Master not earning a single nomination outside the acting categories. BAFTA has released their full list of nominees for this year’s awards. Lincoln leads all contenders with 10 nominations (although Steven Spielberg didn’t get a nomination for director). My two favorite films of the year (Anna Karenina and Zero Dark Thirty) picked up six and five nominations respectively
