Amanda (Melinda Clarke) continues her game as she has Danforth (Richard T. Jones) assassinated, taking away Division’s man inside the White House, and watches joyfully as her puppets continue to do her bidding. After hiding all evidence of her shooting Ryan (Noah Bean), Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) continues to lead the resistance inside Division and even begins openly talking about leaving Division with Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford). Owen (Devon Sawa) becomes increasingly unstable after Amanda pays him a visit and forces his suppressed memories and originally personality to return.

As the Glee Club gets ready for Regionals, Brittany (Heather Morris) becomes obsessed with a new asteroid she believes will wipe out all life in Lima, which leads Mr. Shue (Matthew Morrison) to placate New Directions’ dumbest member with a “Last Chance” assignment to embrace the urgency of singing together for possibly the last time. However, heartbreak and singing are put on hold when McKinley High is rocked by a school shooting with the Glee Club hiding in the practice room scared for their lives and the friends and family who are trapped alone elsewhere in the school.

Sometimes it’s the small, seemingly insignificant, choices that can have the largest impact. Learning of Lamar’s (Powers Boothe) heart attack Rayna (Connie Britton) is forced to withdraw from the sold out New York City concert and fly with her daughters (Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella) back home to Nashville. In the hospital with her sister (Judith Hoag) and Watty (JD Souther), Rayna learns a little more about both her parents and the struggles that they kept from her. Meanwhile her sister makes a few discoveries of her own including finding out Teddy’s (Eric Close) girlfriend (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) was responsible for leaking the story of Teddy and Rayna’s divorce to the press.
