Super Tuesday Rocked the Vote
We covered Super Sunday with the last post, and we’ll briefly comment on Super Tuesday (which saw record turnout by Democrats in several key states) here. Democrats are still torn between Barack Oboma and Hilary Clinton, and John McCain pulled away from the other Republican candidates. So did you vote? If not take a look at this PSA from Rock the Vote featuring Jake Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard. Larger version available in the Full Diagnosis.

Underdog vs. Stewie
Much like our pals at ‘buddha and DHADM have said, I too was pretty disappointed with this year’s crop of Super Bowl commericials. Of course the Patriots lost, keeping my ‘72 Dolphins the only undefeated team ever, so the day wasn’t a total loss. Of the ads though there was one I got a kick out of which doesn’t seem to be getting much love, and so I give you this Coca-Cola ad featuring Underdog, Stewie, and a lovable blockhead. For more ads check out our pals over at DHADM. Larger version available in the Full Diagnosis.

Stephen Colbert SMASH!
For those who missed Marvel Editor-in-chief Joe Quesada‘s appearance on The Colbert Report here’s a peek at what happened. Stephen was visably saddened he hadn’t been chosen to be the new Captain America, but Quesada did inform Stephen his campaign for President inside the Marvel Universe is still going strong and mentioned a few possible running mates to consider. Check out the larger version inside the Full Diagnosis. Enjoy!

Heath Ledger
We’ve got an entire day of comic book goodness to get to, but we start on a sad note with the death of Heath Ledger who died of an apparent drug overdose (prescription sleeping pills) and was found dead in his Manhattan apartment Tuesday afternoon. The Australian actor was best known for his Oscar nominated role in Brokeback Mountain (read Aaron’s review) and will appear in this summer’s The Dark Knight as the Joker. Over his decade and a half career Ledger gave memorable performances in films good (Lords of Dogtown read the review, Monster’s Ball), bad (Candy read the review, The Order, The Brothers Grimm read the review, A Knight’s Tale), and forgettable (Ned Kelly, Casanova read the review). Ooroo Mr. Ledger. There’s a little extra love for fans inside the Full Diagnosis.
