Week Off

We worked through Christmas and New Year’s and we’ve gotten a little punchy (is it bad when your brains start oozing out of your ears?).  So we’re going to take a late holiday with a short break this week to rest up and get ready for all our new reviews and features for 2008.  If you haven’t already, take a look at our Year in Review links, and check out the tweeked top menu bar which should make surfing the site a little easier.  Then come back next week for our Winter/Spring Movie Preview, a look at some of the new shows hitting your idiot box, more DVD’s, more comics, more anime, more trailers, and more reviews!

Marvel’s Top Heroes and Villains of 2007

Our Year in Review continues.  Marvel Comics took stock and chose their own Top Ten Heroes and Top Ten Villains of 2007.  Who made the list?  Many of the choices were obvious of course (yeah, like Spidey’s not going to rank, or Cap won’t make it after he freakin’ died!) but the order is quite interesting (and I have to give a big shout out to my favorite X-Man for making it all the way to #3!).  The villains included old faithfuls as well, but oddly enough the Hulk (who dominated Marvel’s summer and fall) didn’t make either list!  Check out the full lists plus links inside the Full Diagnosis.

Third Annual Razorblade Awards

Yes that’s right, the end of the year is upon us.  Starting next week we’ll take a look back at the year that was 2007.  We’ll examine the best of the best and the worst of the worst.  To kick things off we’ll start with our Third Annual Razorblade Awards for the most memorable (and truly awful) performances and moments in film we were subjected to this past year.  The Razorblade recognizes the only thing which could stop this awfulness – letting audiences slit their wrists.  Previous winners includ Paul Walker, The Dukes of Hazard, A Sound of Thunder, Tideland, Hilary and Haylie Duff, and Underworld Evolution.  (check out the 2005 and 2006 winners).
