Fables #156

Another of the wolf children’s adventures comes to a close as Connor finally has enough of spite and racism of his would-be mentor choosing instead to befriend another wanderer the pair cross paths with in the forest. And so it’s Old Sam who the cub brings home with him. Speaking of those returning home, Blossom returns home with a new boyfriend, and Ambrose makes plans for the library he found on his adventure.

This still leaves one of the children out on her adventure while other stories continue as well when the new Jack gets arrested after hunting down Peter Pan (offering some commentary on the bizarre ways on how laws work in the real world). The issue is also notable for the dialogue between Pan and Tinkerbell further exploring their relationship and foreshadowing the character’s plans moving forward.
