Batman: The Animated Series Figures

After already getting a look at Batman and Catwoman, DC Collectibles gave MTV a first peak at the designs for five more of the new Batman: The Animated Series line of figures hitting stores this November (Wave 1 – Batman, Catwoman, Two-Face, and Mr. Freeze) and December (Wave 2 – Joker, Poison Ivy, Robin, Man-Bat). You’ll find pics of the separate figures inside. Personally, I prefer the original version of Freeze and Ivy, and the later version of the Tim Drake Robin, but as I’m going to gleefully pick all these up, and know DC has plans for many more characters (including the original design of Batman – Yes Please!), I’m sure not going to complain too loudly.

Arrow - Unthinkable

Arrow‘s Second Season, along with the long-brewing battle between Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett), comes to an end with Deathstoke’s super-strong army tearing apart Starling City and Amanda Waller‘s (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) A.R.G.U.S. drones ready to turn the city into sinkhole rather than allow any one of Deathstroke’s men to escape. Thankfully there is some good news. Star Labs’ cure works on restoring Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) to normal, and Ollie and company receive some much needed back-up by Diggle‘s (David Ramsey) friend Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson) as well as Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law) and the League of Assassins brought back to Starling by Sara (Caity Lotz) promise to return to the League should they survive the night.

Rocky & Bullwinkle #3

Rocky & Bullwinkle #3Rocky and Bullwinkle head to the moon in the latest issue of IDW’s new comic adventures of the moose and squirrel. Set in the 1960s, Pottsylvania announces they have claimed the moon and demand payment from anyone who mentions or makes use of the celestial object (including even a werewolf). With no one accepting the word of the Moon Men that the Pottsylvanians have never landed on the moon, Rocky and Bullwinkle are sent to discover the truth. Of course Boris and Natasha are sent after them to stop Moose and Squirrel from destroying the country’s lucrative lie.

This month’s intermission tale features Snidley Whiplash‘s new get-rich scheme by selling worthless merchandise with a “double your money back guarantee” realizing most customers are too lazy to take advantage of the deal. Sadly for the villain Dudley Do-Right isn’t most people and soon bankrupts the Snidley’s entire business with his circular logic. Worth a look.

[IDW, $3.99]
