With only 72 hours before they are scheduled to walk down the aisle Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett‘s (Stana Katic) wedding plans hit a snag when Kate discovers she’s already married to a college boyfriend (Eddie McClintock), and two-time loser with an impressive rap sheet, much to the amusement of Ryan (Seamus Dever) and Esposito (Jon Huertas). Leaving Castle in Manhattan to finalize the plans, Beckett heads upstate to find Rogen and get a quickie divorce.

Atomic Robo (Free Comic Book Day 2014)

The latest Free Comic Book Day issue of Atomic Robo pits our intrepid science adventurer against the Yonkers Devil in the “smoldering wasteland” of what was once Centralia when Atomic Robo and his team come across both the creature and a college student on spring break who has unknowingly stolen the Devil’s eggs. Offering the share of crazy action and humor the comic is known for, the story should please fans.
Red 5’s Free Comic Book Day issue also includes back-up story featuring Bodie Troll stealing pumpkin’s in No Man’s Patch for Miz Bijou (while also checking out the rumored roots and trash of the forbidden garden of far more interest to the troll). Finally, the issue includes a short tease for Red 5’s new series Haunted featuring Sarah McCallister traversing a world where the walls between Earth and the spiritual world have been torn down. Not surprisingly, the Atomic Robo story is the stand-out although there’s some fun to be had with Bodie’s adventure. Worth a look.

Here’s a first look at NBC’s new series Constantine based on the long-running Vertigo comic Hellblazer centered around occult detective and con man John Constantine (Matt Ryan) dealing with a world most don’t know exists. Lucy Griffiths also stars. Set to premiere this Fall on NBC, the trailer doesn’t do much to sell me on the concept (although I’ve never been an avid Hellblazer reader).

The Mentalist – Black Hearts

The ongoing human trafficking story comes to a close as Wiley’s (Joe Adler) digging leads to a big break for the FBI when the tech is able to link both the truck used to transport 30 young women across the border into Mexico and the closed-down medical facility where other woman were harvested for their organs back to a single suspect: Michael Ridley (Titus Welliver). DNA from 15 women killed in the clinic and that of a single man also leads Fischer (Emily Swallow) and Cho (Harry Groener) to track down a former surgeon (Robert Joy) who they hope has the answers they need to finding the missing cargo container of girls now believed to be somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
