Emma Watson is British GQ's Woman of the Year

Although we still have the better part of three months left to go in 2013, British GQ is wasting no time to name actress Emma Watson its 2013 Woman of the Year. In the interview with the magazine the actress discusses putting in the work, meditation, her love of journals and writing, taking control of her official Twitter account, growing up, and working with Sofia Coppola (The Bling Ring), Darren Aronofsky (Noah), and being chosen for Guillermo del Toro‘s new live-action version of Beauty and the Beast. Just hours before Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) is scheduled to testify in court against a murderous drug dealer (Clifton Collins Jr.) with more than 100 victims to his name, none of whose bodies have ever been recovered, Reddington (James Spader) reaches out with a prophetic warning that her day may not go quite as planned. After the prosecution’s star witness is taken from the court house in the middle of the trial and is disappeared in a very specific fashion Reddington’s interest is raised as he realizes “The Stewmaker” (Tom Noonan), a chemical expert with a talent for destroying all traces of his victims (except the trophies he keeps for himself), is responsible.

Codename: Action #2After surviving the attack by unknown foreign agents thanks to their convertible submarine car, Operator 5 and the agency’s newest recruit Operative 1001 begin working together to try and discover who is behind the push for war and who wants them both out of the way.

Believing correctly important world leaders are being replaced, the two spies try to get one-step ahead of their unseen enemy by having Operator 5 replace a senator and try to lure the villains into the open with a speech before the United Nations calling for the end to nuclear proliferation. In France Black Venus and her team get their own bad news as the Prime Minister has called for the agents to publicly assassinate Soviet Operatives in Algeria, pushing the Cold War one step closer to igniting.

Issue #2 once again captures the feel of a cold war spy tale that also gives us an unexpected cameo from the Green Hornet and Kato that plays on larger themes of the comic but still seems a bit out of place. Worth a look.

The arrival of an odd young boy (Matthew Lintz) with unusual symptoms (including an unknown illness and the ability to only speak Middle English) brings the CDC to Sleepy Hollow to stop the spread of any possible infection. After speaking briefly to young Thomas, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) believes he may have lived in the lost colony of Roanoke. Taking Abbie (Nicole Beharie) into the woods in search of the boy’s origins where they find an entire colony of Middle English folk all infected with the same disease which is already spreading through Sleepy Hollow.
